Engine warning light
An engine warning light is a reason for diagnostics, not panic
The engine warning light can mean a minor deviation or a problem that should not be ignored. The key is whether it is steady, flashing and how the car behaves.
Autoservis 1 reads fault codes and compares them with real symptoms. A code often points to an area, not always the exact cause.
If the car loses power, jerks, the light flashes or a red warning appears, it is safer to call before driving further.
When to book warning light diagnostics
- engine warning light stays on after start or while driving
- the car jerks, loses power or uses more fuel
- the problem returns after clearing the code
- Czech STK is coming and you want to check stored faults
How we work with warning lights
- we ask when the light appeared and how the car behaves
- we read fault memory with diagnostics
- we recommend further checks based on codes and symptoms
- repairs start after the cause is explained
Clearing the code is not enough
The workshop is useful for drivers from Červený Újezd, Unhošť, Prague-West, Hostivice, Rudná, Kladno, Jeneč and Zličín. The address at Unhošťská 92 makes routine checks easier without driving into central Prague.
Deleting a fault without fixing the cause may only help temporarily. If it returns, it is better to find out why.
FAQ about engine warning lights
Can I drive with the light on?
If the car drives normally and the light is steady, book diagnostics. If it flashes or power drops, call first.
Is clearing the code enough?
Not usually. If the cause remains, the fault often returns.
Does diagnostics show the exact fault?
Sometimes. Often it shows the area and more checking is needed.
