Restoration can help with cloudy plastic lenses
Plastic headlight lenses can become yellow, hazy or milky over time. The appearance matters, but reduced illumination is the more important concern, especially at night and before an STK inspection.
At our workshop in Červený Újezd, we check the lens, cracks, moisture and lighting function before recommending restoration or another repair.
When to book a check
- The lenses look yellow, cloudy or milky.
- The headlights appear weak and visibility has deteriorated.
- Your STK inspection is approaching and the lights need attention.
- You would like to combine the work with routine servicing.
When polishing is not enough
Restoring the outer lens will not fix a cracked housing, water inside the lamp, damaged mounts, a faulty reflector or an electrical fault. We explain the findings and a suitable next step. Replacement or another repair may be more appropriate.
Headlights before the Czech STK inspection
Lighting condition and function are checked at STK. Restoring a cloudy lens may help address a lighting problem, but only the inspection station decides whether the car passes. See STK preparation or, if you already have a failed inspection report, repairs after STK.

A fixed price without inspection would be misleading: size, plastic condition, cracks and moisture all matter. We agree the scope and price before starting.
