Customer car after front-end repair at Autoservis 1

Workshop repair examples

Real workshop repairs: damage, headlights, chassis and brakes

Real photos help explain why a repair makes sense. We inspect the actual vehicle condition first, explain what we found and only then agree on the repair scope and price.

Case-style examples without blind promises

What the photos can show and what only an inspection confirms

The examples below explain typical service situations in a practical way. They do not include licence plates, VINs or customer personal details. Exact pricing always depends on the car, parts and work scope.

Headlight restoration: when the lens turns cloudy and visibility drops

Cloudy or yellowed headlights are not just cosmetic. They can reduce night visibility, and lighting condition can also be an issue during a Czech STK inspection.

Typical symptom
cloudy lens, weaker lighting, yellowing or a milky surface
Inspection
lens condition, light function, cracks, sealing and whether restoration makes sense
Process
paintwork protection, restoration according to condition and final result check
Useful before STK
yes, especially when headlights are visibly cloudy or weak

Wheel hub and bearing work: play, noise and proper fit

Humming from a wheel, play or unstable vehicle behaviour should not be ignored. During inspection we check not only the bearing or hub, but also surrounding brake and suspension parts.

Typical symptom
humming from a wheel, play, vibration, uneven driving noise or an issue found during inspection
Inspection
hub, bearing, mounting, brake and visible suspension parts according to the vehicle
Process
disassembly of required parts, correct service tool use and check before assembly
Safety
wheel-area components directly affect driving, braking and technical inspection results

Disc brakes: when the car squeaks, grinds or vibrates while braking

For disc brakes we first check discs, pads and related parts. The before and after photos help show the difference between worn parts and new parts.

Typical symptom
squeaking, vibration, metallic sound or reduced braking feel
Inspection
discs, pads, visible leaks, guides and brake condition according to the vehicle
Process
finding explanation, price agreement and repair only after approval
Price
depends on vehicle type, chosen parts and work scope

Rear brakes

Drum brakes: checking condition, cleaning and replacing parts by wear

Drum brakes are not visible from outside the car. That is why opening and checking them makes sense when there are symptoms or before a Czech STK inspection.

Typical symptom
noise from the rear axle, weak handbrake or uneven braking effect
Inspection
shoes, springs, cylinders, drum, adjustment and visible fluid leaks
Process
photo documentation, work scope agreement and then repair
Useful before STK
yes, brakes are a key part of the Czech technical inspection

Diagnostics and photo documentation

First the detailed inspection, then the repair recommendation

With larger damage, the full repair scope is not always visible from outside. Detail photos help explain the finding and agree on the next step based on the actual condition.

Helpful in request
make, model, year, issue description, warning light photo or visible damage photo
Inspection
photo documentation, damaged-area check and finding explanation
Inspection result
next-step recommendation and price estimate according to the actual work scope

You do not need to know the exact part name. Describe when the issue appears, how the car behaves and whether it is drivable.
