Published 17 October 2026. General guidance; an inspection of your vehicle is still required.
The existing workshop image is illustrative; it does not document this specific fault. This guide cannot confirm whether your vehicle is safe to drive.
One wheel or a temperature change?
Compare readings under similar conditions and follow the vehicle's specified pressures and checking instructions. Note whether one wheel repeatedly loses more than the others. Do not use a universal pressure figure from the internet; the correct values depend on the vehicle, tyres and load.
Where pressure can escape
A tread puncture, valve fault, bead seal or rim issue can need different work. An object visible in the tread is useful information, but do not pull it out to investigate. Absence of a visible nail does not rule out a leak. Tell the workshop if sealant has been used or the tyre was driven underinflated.
When not to drive
A flat tyre, rapid loss, sidewall damage, a bulge or changed handling needs a safe stop and assistance rather than another top-up and continued driving. Follow vehicle-specific instructions for spare wheels, mobility kits or run-flat tyres; they do not make every damaged tyre safe.
Repair suitability is decided by inspection
The position and nature of the damage, internal condition and manufacturer rules affect whether a repair is possible. Inspection may show that replacement or rim work is needed instead. A photograph of the outside cannot establish the full internal condition.
How to interpret the price list
Puncture repair is advertised from CZK 200. That is not a blanket price for every pressure leak, a replacement valve or rim repair. Explain how quickly pressure drops, which wheel is affected and the tyre size; the workshop confirms the actual scope and price.
A useful service enquiry
Describe the symptom, when it occurs and any warning lights. Include the make, model, year and approximate mileage. Send relevant photographs or reports by email; the enquiry form does not accept attachments. Do not record or use your phone while driving.
